This article describes how to add John Deere, Caterpillar, and Komatsu AEMP 2.0 assets.
AEMP assets are heavy equipment assets that follow the AEMP (association of equipment management professionals) connectivity standard. Currently, the process for adding AEMP assets is different depending on whether you are adding AEMP assets from John Deere, Caterpillar, and Komatsu.

By connecting AEMP assets to Fleet, you are purchasing additional subscriptions for assets that have built-in telematics hardware from one of the Verizon Connect integrated AEMP providers. This process should be used only when you need to add additional subscriptions. As part of this process you accept the contract and payment terms and then, once complete, your subscription increases by the number of assets you have selected.

Click on the account you want to connect assets from.
If the account tile shows an exclamation mark, you might need to reauthenticate the account or, if the problem persists, contact support.
-
The Asset List displays all of your assets for the selected AEMP provider. You can connect only those assets that have a status of “Not Connected”. Use the filter to show only assets with this status.
-
To connect all assets in the filtered list, click Connect Listed. Alternatively, you can select specific assets, and then select Connect Selected to connect only the selected assets. For more information, see Viewing the AEMP Asset List.
The Asset List contains all your assets from the selected AEMP provider account.
You can use the filter to narrow down the list of assets to those with a specific status, or you can use the search to narrow down the list of assets to those that contain the entered set of characters in their serial number, make, or model fields.
The Connect All button changes to Connect Listed when you use the filter or search. The button changes to Connect Selected when you select assets from the list.
