Troubleshooting: DVR SD card locking switch is open. (Error code: EVC open SD card locking switch)

This article explains how to troubleshoot the EVC open SD card locking switch error.

Issue

The Extended View Cameras are not capturing videos because the DVR’s SD card locking switch is open.

Solution

To lock the SD card in place:

1. Locate the locking gate on the front of the DVR.
   
2. Slide the locking gate closed.
3. Tighten the star nut with a T6 torx bit.
