Your company might be legally obligated to let drivers know what video data is captured about them. Share this article with your drivers so they know what information is generated by the camera, stored in Fleet, and what it is used for.
Video data is available in Fleet, along with driver information. This data can be used for coaching and training purposes, and to help build a safety culture within your organization.

AI Dashcams can notify drivers with real-time in-cab audio alerts. These prompts are designed to encourage safer driving and help protect drivers on the road.
When unsafe driving behavior is detected, a video from the vehicle’s camera is uploaded to Fleet and is classified by the cloud AI. A notification is sent to a driver’s supervisor when the video event is available to view.

Footage from the driver and road cameras is uploaded to Fleet and the Integrated Video app when there are:

Harsh driving events, such as hard braking, harsh cornering, and hard acceleration.

Unsafe driving behaviors, such as tailgating, distraction, smoking, tiredness and using a cellphone.

Video requests - Individuals with administrator credentials and Integrated Video access can get videos from an SD card.
Event details for each driver are available in the driver safety profile.
After reviewing the profile data, including the weekly safety score, a supervisor may choose to arrange a coaching session with a driver. Profile data recognizes improvements in safer driving habits and aims to help drivers maintain this status.
Safety data will be used for coaching and training purposes, and to help build a safety culture within your organization. All safety data should be validated with a driver to clarify whether an unsafe driving behavior was to prevent an accident.
Your company’s admins and users with the appropriate permissions, as determined by your company’s leadership, can:

View or retrieve video footage.

Update a video’s coaching status and add comments.

View a driver’s safety profile, including the weekly safety score.

Host a coaching session.

Interact with coaching features, including access to sensitive information.
It is your company’s responsibility to explain how it is processing, using, and sharing videos and data it collects from the camera in the vehicle you use, and to respond to any data privacy rights requests that you are entitled to under law. These may include your right to access, download, delete or correct your information or video footage. Videos may be downloaded and shared with the police or insurance companies and used as evidence at the company's discretion.
