AI Dashcams can detect unsafe driving behaviors and notify drivers with in-cab audio alerts. These prompts are designed to encourage safer driving over time.

The driver-facing camera analyzes a driver's head position, and their interaction with objects, such as cell phones. If the driver’s behavior is outside of its normal range for too long, the camera may classify it as unsafe driving behavior, and trigger an in-cab alert.
The AI then classifies the event, and a video is uploaded to Fleet.
The camera calibrates the driver's head position during the first 30 seconds of a journey and every 30 mins thereafter. The AI calibration can be disrupted if the driver is:
-
Wearing glasses, a hat, or a mask
-
Frequently touching their face
Driver-facing triggers include:
The road-facing camera monitors driving behavior and the vehicle's proximity to other road users.
The type of lens that the camera is fitted with can affect how close and how fast objects appear.
Road-facing triggers include:
The Cloud AI detects when a driver attempts to avoid hazards outside of their control. For example, a driver may take a sharp turn or brake suddenly to avoid an animal or another vehicle entering their path. External cause events should be reviewed by the safety manager.

Videos can be falsely triggered, usually when an AI Dashcam lens is obstructed or in the wrong position.
New triggers will be added over time. Some triggers may be launched in Beta which means that performance may not be optimal but will improve quickly.
