Using Text Recognition

When completing a form or driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR), you can use optical character recognition (OCR) to fill in text fields. To do this, you need to allow Workforce Mobile to access your device's camera.

To fill in a field using text recognition:

  1. Select a form or DVIR.

  2. Tap on a text field. A dialog box opens. Tap Use Camera.

  3. Move your device so that the text is within the rectangular box that is shown on screen. Make sure that you use your device in portrait orientation.

  4. Tap the text Tap to scan.

  5. Make sure that the text was correctly recognized and, if so, tap Save. If there are any errors, you can tap Use Camera to try again.
