An asset summary report summarizes the hours vehicles or assets are operated (in motion or idling), the distances they are driven, and the amount of fuel and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) they consume, over a given time period. You can define the vehicles included in this report either by their assignment to a hierarchy node or to a fleet.
Note
This report does not include AEMP vehicles or assets.
When generated in PDF or Excel format, the fleet or hierarchy the report includes is shown at the top of the generated report, together with the date range of the report and the total number of vehicles it describes.
Below this is a Vehicle Summary table. This table displays summary data for all vehicles included in the report over the entire date range specified, and includes the following information:
-
Total Engine Hours: The total duration the engines of all vehicles or assets included in the report were in operation over the entire date range of the report, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Total Idle Hours: The total duration the engines of all vehicles or assets included in the report idled (that is, were in operation while the vehicle was not in motion, and had satisfied the stop minute length requirement which defaults to 5 minutes) over the entire date range of the report, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Total Fuel Used: The total quantity of fuel used by all vehicles or assets included in the report over the entire date range of the report. This is shown either in gallons or liters, depending on your units settings.
The remainder of the report is divided into tables - one table for each vehicle. Tables for each vehicle are divided into rows, with each row describing a single day of the report's date range. At the bottom of each table is a summary row, which is displayed in bold text. This row includes summed statistics for each individual vehicle over the entire date range of the report.
The tables for each vehicle or asset includes some or all the following information. Note that the exact details shown in the final report will vary depending on the data made available to Verizon Connect by your vehicle or asset manufacturer.
-
Details: The name of the vehicle or asset, its 17-character VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), the make of the vehicle, and the vehicle model.
-
Date: The date that the row of information relates to.
-
Engine Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset was in operation over the specified day (as indicated by the "Date" column value), in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Idle Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset idled (was in operation while the vehicle was not in motion) over the specified date, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Odometer Start: The odometer reading of the vehicle at the start of the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Odometer End: The odometer reading of the vehicle at the end of the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Distance: The distance driven by the vehicle over the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings. Trip distances are calculated using odometer values reported by the engine. When no odometer value is available, GPS points are used to calculate distance.
-
Fuel Used: The total quantity of fuel used by the vehicle over the day in either gallons or liters, depending on your units settings.
-
Trip Fuel: The quantity of fuel used by the vehicle over the day while being driven (that is, while not idling) in either gallons or liters, depending on your units settings.
-
Fuel Level: The quantity of fuel remaining in the vehicle at the end of the day, as a percentage.
-
DEF Level: The quantity of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) remaining in the vehicle at the end of the day, as a percentage.
-
Total Engine Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset was in operation over the entire date range of the report, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Total Idle Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset idled (was in operation while the vehicle was not in motion) over the entire date range of the report, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Total Distance: The total distance driven by the vehicle over the entire date range of the report in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Total Trip Fuel: The total quantity of fuel used by the vehicle or asset while being driven (that is, not idling) over the entire date range of the report in either gallons or liters, depending on your units settings.
You can set the following options for an asset summary report:
-
Time Frame Options: Select the dates that the report will cover. You can select a predefined time frame from the Time Frame drop-down menu. If you select the "Specific Dates" option the From and To fields open. Select a date in each field, using the calendar controls.
-
Fleet or Hierarchy: Select the fleets or sections of the hierarchy that you want to include in the report.
-
Show empty nodes: Select the Show empty nodes check box to view hierarchy nodes in the tree view that do not contain any drivers or vehicles.
-
Search field: Enter a search term in the Search field to find a vehicle or driver with that term in their name. Click the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through the search results.
-
Include Tag Filter: Select the tags for the vehicles you want included in the report. The report will list only those vehicles that are currently assigned all of the selected tags. For example, if you select the “HeavyVehicle” tag, only vehicles that are currently assigned the "HeavyVehicle" tag will be included in the report.
-
Exclude Tag Filter: Select the tags for the vehicles you want excluded from the report. The report will not list any vehicles that are currently assigned any of the selected tags. For example, if you select the “BoomArm” tag, any vehicles that are currently assigned the “BoomArm” tag will be excluded from the report.
The columns of the asset summary report, when generated in CSV format, are as follows:
-
Vehicle Name: The name of the vehicle or asset.
-
Date: The date that the row of information relates to.
-
Engine Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset was in operation over the specified day (as indicated by the "Date" value), in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Idle Hours: The duration the engine of this vehicle or asset idled (was in operation while the vehicle was not in motion) over the specified date, in hours and minutes (in HH:MM format).
-
Odometer Start: The odometer reading of the vehicle at the start of the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Odometer End: The odometer reading of the vehicle at the end of the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Distance: The distance driven by the vehicle over the day in either miles or kilometers, depending on your units settings.
-
Fuel Level (EOD): The quantity of fuel remaining in the vehicle at the end of the day, as a percentage.
-
DEF Level (EOD): The quantity of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) remaining in the vehicle at the end of the day, as a percentage.
