Depending on the software version you are using, the Map screen toolbar includes some or all of the following controls:
Note
For information about using the filter to the right of the map screen toolbar, see filtering.
Previous view: returns the map so that it displays the previous view. |
Show map: When the map screen is displaying a list view, click here to display the map and hide the list view. |
Show map & list (horizontal): Split the screen to display a list view below the map. |
Show map & list (vertical): Split the screen to display a list view to the right of the map. |
Show List: Hide the map and show only a list view. |
Toggle full screen mode: Enter full screen mode to maximize screen real estate. |
Routing: Define and save a route. |
Markers: Click a location on the map to create a marker. |
Panics: Filter the map so that it shows only vehicles for which the driver has pressed the panic button. This tool starts flashing when a driver presses the panic button, so that you can notice and respond immediately. |
Layers: Add layers to the map that display information about traffic, weather, or custom information that you have imported. |
History: Display the history tab if it is not already showing. |
Nav Monitor: Display the Nav Monitor tab if it is not already showing. This tool allows you to view all routes processed by Navigation for a selected driver. |
Find Activity: Display the find activity pop-up (also referred to as the What happened here pop-up), where you can determine which vehicles were at a specified time and place. |
Road Edits: Display the road editor window, where you can edit the speed limit of streets, and the status of roads (for example, "closed"). |
Views: Save and recall map views. |
Fleets: Use the Fleets selector to filter the map so that it only shows vehicles from the selected fleet. A pop-up menu lists the groups of fleets to choose from: hierarchy fleets (for implicitly-defined fleets), and non-hierarchy fleets (for explicitly-defined fleets). If you have Verizon Connect® Response™, you might also see a territories group. |
Settings: Set preferences for the appearance and behavior of the map. |
Filter control: Apply a filter to limit the vehicles, drivers, or jobs shown on the map and its associated list views. |
No connection to server: If your browser cannot refresh because of a problem connecting to the server, the out-of-communication icon is displayed in the toolbar. |
The text beside the Filter Vehicles field indicates how many vehicles are displayed on the map. The text is updated every time you:
-
Filter the vehicles on the map using the Filter Vehicles field.
-
Change the active fleet.
-
Change the area covered by the map when you pan or zoom.
