To add a new subuser using the Subusers screen:
- From the Tasks section of the navigation bar choose Subusers.
- On the Subusers screen, click the Create button.
- On the Details tab of the Add User dialog box, enter the details about the subuser. The units settings (imperial or metric values) for the newly-created account are inherited from the creation account (if, for example, the administrator account uses metric units, then the subuser accounts created from that account will also use metric units).
- On the Rights tab of the Add User dialog box, enter the roles and select the permissions to public items that will be given to this subuser.
- Click Save to add the new user.
To add a new subuser using the hierarchy:
- From the Tasks section of the navigation bar choose Hierarchy. The Hierarchy screen opens.
- Click the node in the hierarchy tree that represents the new user's position in your organization. The user can be reassigned to a different node later, if necessary.
The node becomes highlighted. - Click the Users tab on the Details panel to display the current list of users.
- In the Details panel toolbar, click Add Users.
- On the Details tab of the Add User dialog box, enter the details about the subuser.
- On the Rights tab of the Add User dialog box, enter the roles and select the permissions to public items that will be given to this subuser.
- Click Save to add the user.
To add a new subuser automatically as part of adding a new mobile user using the Mobile Tools screen:
- From the Tasks section of the navigation bar choose Mobile Tools.
- In the Mobile Tools screen, click the New Mobile User button.
- On the User Details tab, enter details about the mobile user. The Username is the name of the subuser that is automatically created.
- Change the Mobile Configuration Profile to "Custom" if you want to make changes to the default settings for the user.
- Click Create User to add the new user.

Some subuser details, such as right and permissions, cannot be edited on the Mobile screen and must be edited in the subuser's User dialog box instead. |
