The map settings popup appears when you click the Settings tool in the Map toolbar:
Verizon Connect® Response™ augments this dialog box in two ways:
-
Extra options are added to the drop-down lists on the Clustering tab that affect the way job information is displayed on the map.
-
A new tab called Jobs Gantt Chart is added for settings that affect the Gantt chart.
The Clustering tab contains controls for configuring the way the map displays icons for vehicles, jobs, and clusters. It also includes some settings for the type of information shown in dynamic info balloons.
In the section labeled Cluster Components, several drop-down lists appear that let you specify what information appears on cluster icons (Outer pie chart and Inner pie chart) and in dynamic info balloons (Balloon list). Response adds additional options for the Outer pie chart, Inner pie chart, and Balloon list drop-down lists, and adds a new list called Jobs bar chart:
-
Outer pie chart, Inner pie chart, and Balloon list drop-downs: These lists are expanded, so that they include the following new options:
-
Job Priority: A color indicating the priority of the current job for the vehicle. Values are configurable by the main user of an account, using the Jobs Settings page of the main options dialog box.
-
Job Status: A color indicating the status of the current job for the vehicle. Values are configurable by the main user of an account, using the Jobs Settings page of the main options dialog box.
-
Job Timing: A color indicating the vehicles position relative to the time the current job is scheduled. Values are configurable by the main user of an account, using the Jobs Settings page of the main options dialog box.
-
Job Type: The list color of the job type of the vehicle's current job. If there is no current job, this is clear.
-
Job Warning: The color of any warning associated with the vehicle's current job. If there is no current job, this is clear. Values are configurable by the main user of an account, using the Jobs Settings page of the main options dialog box.
-
Route Status: A color indicating the progress of a vehicle in completing a route of scheduled jobs. Values are configurable by the main user of an account, using the Jobs Settings page of the main options dialog box.
-
-
Jobs bar chart: This selection determines the information shown in jobs clusters and dynamic info balloons and in the jobs Gantt chart. You can select from Job Priority, Job Status, Job Timing, Job Type, or Job Warning. These options are described above.
The Jobs tab lets you specify options that concern the jobs Gantt chart.
-
Hide drivers without routes: When checked, the jobs Gantt chart only shows rows for the drivers who have routes assigned on the day shown in the Gantt chart. Note that you can also toggle this setting in the tool bar of the Gantt chart itself.
-
Show route name column: When checked, the jobs Gantt chart includes a Routes column that gives the names of the routes assigned to the driver. Clicking on the link for any of these names lets you display the route dialog box where you can view or edit the route details.
-
Show driver column: When checked, the jobs Gantt chart includes a Driver column that displays the name of the driver whose routes are shown on that row of the Gantt chart. Clicking on the driver name brings up a menu of tasks you can perform for that driver.
-
Show route name: When checked, the details balloon shown when hovering a mouse over a vehicle or job assigned to a route, or the highlighted route, will include the name of the route. Clicking on the route name brings up a menu of tasks you can perform for that route.
-
Expired Job Alerts: Select Show to highlight any jobs that remain unassigned, despite the approach of their planned arrival time. Use the Expired Job Threshold control to specify how far ahead of the planned arrival time this alert should be triggered.
Handling of expired jobs affects your user login, but not any other users of your account. Thus, different users can be notified about unassigned jobs after different time thresholds.
When you select Show:
-
The jobs tool in the map screen toolbar is highlighted yellow when there are expired jobs and the tool bar shows the number of expired jobs.
-
At the top of the jobs list, a link appears letting you sort the jobs in the list by the time remaining until they expire. If there are any expired jobs, the count of expired jobs appears at the top of the jobs list.
-
All expired jobs in the jobs list are highlighted in yellow.
If you select Hide:
-
You can still see the Time To Expiration as a column in the jobs list, with values highlighted in red if the jobs have expired.
-
You still see a warning in the job details popup when viewing a job that has expired.
-
You can still create an InSight Alert for Expired Unassigned Job.
-
-
Job Dispatch Threshold: Indicates the dispatch deadline for job assignment. If the job cannot be assigned to an existing route that begins or ends within this specified threshold (for example within a period of two hours before the route is planned to begin and two hours after it is planned to end), a new route is created for it.
