Points of Interest (POIs) in Navigo (NavNA), and markers in Fleet, are used to mark locations such as customer premises, fuel stations, parking sites, and maintenance services.
This article describes the process of synchronizing existing POIs in NavNA to their corresponding markers in Fleet. This process is performed by Verizon Connect support staff.
Within the NavNA portal, POIs are contained and managed in different places according to their type. Fuel station POIs are managed in the Fuel Stations tab, while all other POIs are managed in the POI Editor application. See Fuel Stations and Editing POIs for more information.
In Fleet, markers are managed on the Markers tab. For more information about managing markers, see Viewing and Editing Marker Details.
While synchronizing POIs to markers, POIs assigned to a certain keyword in NavNA are mapped to a particular marker category. The following table describes how some POI keywords map to their corresponding Fleet marker categories.

Currently, fuel station POIs cannot be mapped to Fuel Station markers in Fleet.
Existing and new POIs are handled in different ways during the synchronization process. To enable synchronization, contact your Verizon Connect support representative.
If you are a NavNA user and are migrating to NavGE, your organization’s POIs must be synchronized to the corresponding markers in Fleet. After the initial synchronization process, any edits made to the POIs in the NavNA Portal are synced again to their corresponding Fleet markers. Likewise, any updates to these markers in Fleet are synced back to their corresponding POIs in NavNA.
After Verizon Connect support staff perform the initial synchronization of POIs to markers, your organization might want to add new POIs. POIs that are created in NavNA after the initial sync process are synced to a new marker in Fleet.
Note
Markers created in Fleet after the initial sync process are not synced back to POIs in NavNA. We recommend that you add new POIs to NavNA instead of adding new markers to Fleet.
Once the POIs have been synced to their corresponding markers in Fleet, your drivers can search for the markers on the NavGE Search screen > Your Fleet section. For more information on searching for markers see Searching for Destinations with Navigation.
