You can assign a vehicle to a driver so that this vehicle is used by default when routes are built for the driver.
In detached scenarios, you can set a preferred vehicle on the Details tab of the Driver dialog box when creating a driver.
In synced scenarios, you can set a preferred vehicle on the Shift tab of the Driver dialog box in the Verizon Connect platform. This vehicle is added into the Preferred Vehicle field on the Details tab of the Driver dialog box in Scenarios, and it is used as the preferred vehicle for the driver when building routes. To set a preferred vehicle in the Verizon Connect platform:
From the Main section of the navigation bar, select Drivers.
Select the driver from the list.
Select the Shift tab.
In the Preferred Vehicle section, click into the Preferred Vehicle drop-down box and select a vehicle from the list. You can use the filter to narrow down the list. Start typing the name of the vehicle and the list is automatically updated.
If you do not set a preferred vehicle for a driver, the best suited vehicle is assigned to a driver for each route.
To use a different vehicle, other than the preferred vehicle, for a driver, select a vehicle on the Overview tab of the Route dialog box when creating a route.
