Note
These steps assume that you have already created a fleet and a team or a hierarchy.
To add a new mobile user if you have access to the Mobile Tools screen:

Edit a Vehicle, assigning it to a Base Marker (using the Base Marker drop-down on the Overview tab of the Edit Vehicle dialog box).

From the Tasks section of the navigation bar, click the Mobile Tools link.

Click New Mobile User to create a mobile user.

On the User Details tab add the following details as a minimum:

Nickname: This is the name of the driver that is automatically created.

First Name
-
Last Name
-
Email Address:This email address to be used for sending email-based messages to the mobile user.

Username:This is the name of the subuser that is automatically created. This username will be used when signing in to the Verizon Connect mobile apps.

Depots / Base Markers:Select the location where this mobile user is based. This location must match the marker where the vehicle is based.

Change the Mobile Configuration Profile to "Custom" if you want to make changes to the default settings for the user.

Click Create User to save your changes.

Assign the driver to the vehicle that you edited previously.
To add a new mobile user using the Driver and Subuser screens, if you do not have access to the Mobile Tools screen:

Edit a Vehicle, assigning it to a Base Marker (using the Base Marker drop-down on the Overview tab of the Edit Vehicle dialog box).

Create or edit a Driver. Assign the vehicle in the previous step to the driver and set the driver's Based At value (using the Based At drop-down on the Details tab of the Edit/Add New Driver dialog box) to the same marker used for the vehicle.

From the Tasks section of the navigation bar, click the Subusers link.

In the Subusers screen, click the link for the subuser's username, or click the Create button to create a new subuser. This account will be used when signing in from Verizon Connect® WorkPlan™, not the driver account.

Select the Rights tab of the Edit User dialog box.

Depending on the UI you have, either set the right Assign drivers under the Drivers section to "Allowed", or select the Can assign drivers check box.

Depending on the UI you have, either set the right Add markers under the Markers section to "Allowed", or select the Can add markers check box.

If you have the newer UI, scroll to the top of the Rights tab and select the Show All Rights check box to edit additional subuser rights:

If using a private (non-public fleet), enable the See markers in public categories and Add and remove markers from public categories rights under the Categories section. Rights for each individual user must also be edited on the Fleets & Teams page if using a private fleet.

If using a public fleet, enable the See vehicle details in public fleets right under the Fleets section; the See driver details in public teams right under the Teams section; and See markers in public categories and Add and remove markers from public categories rights under the Categories section.

Click Save.
