Before Fleet users can see or use the Video page in Fleet, or log into the Integrated Video app, their accounts must be manually assigned role permissions to use Integrated Video. Administrator-level users (main users) are given Integrated Video rights by default.
The permission levels available for Integrated Video are described below, as is the process of adding these permissions to a role, and assigning the role to a Fleet account (that is, to a subuser).
Fleet provides three Integrated Video permission settings for users. These are:
Integrated Video
-
View and download videos: specifies whether a user can or cannot view and download videos from the Video page in Fleet, or from the Integrated Video mobile app.
Integrated Video Coaching
-
Drivers Tab, Drivers Safety Profiles and Coaching Sessions: specifies whether a user can or cannot see and use the Drivers tab of the Videos page, access driver safety profiles, or use driver coaching features.
-
Coaching Status and Comment: specifies whether a user can or cannot see the coaching status of drivers, or add coaching comments.
To create a new role with Integrated Video rights:
-
From the Tasks section of the navigation bar choose Roles.
-
Click the Create Role button in the top left corner of the page. The "Create Role" dialog box opens. Type a suitable name, for example "Integrated Video Viewer", "Integrated Video Coach", or "Integrated Video Admin" into the "Name" field.
-
Click OK. Your new role appears in the list of roles to the left of the page, and opens on the right of the page, defaulting to the Rights tab.
-
Scroll down the Rights tab until you see the "Integrated Video" and "Integrated Video Coaching" sections.
-
Open the drop-down menus to the right of the available Integrated Video role rights and select "Allowed" or "Denied" beside the rights you want to grant or deny the role. You might, for example, want to create a role with permission to view and download videos in the Video page or the Integrated Video app (Allowed), but not see the Drivers tab, safety profiles, or coach drivers (Denied); and another role that has full permissions to download videos, see the Drivers tab, view driver safety profiles, and coach.
-
Click Save in the bottom right corner of the screen once you have specified the Integrated Video rights of the role. The new role can now be assigned to the subusers of your choice.
To assign a role with Integrated Video permissions to a subuser:
Note
This step assumes that you have already created a suitable role with permission to use some or all Integrated Video features.
-
From the Tasks section of the navigation bar choose Subusers.
-
In the Subusers screen, click the subuser's username. The "Edit User" dialog box opens.
-
On the Rights tab of the "Edit User" dialog box, under the Roles section, begin typing the name of the Integrated Video role you want to assign.
-
Select the role name and then click Save. When the subuser next signs into Fleet, the Main > Video page is visible to them and, depending on their rights, the Drivers tab and coaching features are available. They can also log into the Integrated Video app using their Fleet credentials.
