Overview
To support consistent routing behavior for customers using both Navigation Global Edition (Navigation GE) and Navigation North America (Navigation NA, formerly NaviGo), you can enable synchronization of road edits to modifiers.
When enabled, the synchronization process periodically and automatically copies road edits saved in Fleet Enterprise to modifiers in Navigo Portal. This eliminates the need for double-entry to support drivers using Navigation GE and Navigation NA.
For this reason, you should enter data into the road edits system in Fleet, wherever possible. Data entered into the road edits system is automatically synchronized to a matching entry in Navigation NA’s road modifier system.

Road Edits can have attributes that enforce physical limits, close roads for all drivers, or indicate preferred or restricted roads for truck travel.
Moving From Modifiers to Road Edits
For users familiar with Navigation Road Manager, the following table shows how modifiers are related to road edits. Generally speaking, if the modifier effect is a restriction or limitation, it can be entered as a road edit.

Road Edit/Modifier Synchronization
Road edits data that belongs to your Fleet customer are automatically synchronized to your matching fleet's modifiers in Navigation Portal every five minutes.
You can recognize these modifiers in Road Manager, as they have the name "Imported from Road Edits".
If you inadvertently make any changes to these modifiers in Road Manager, your changes are overwritten during the next synchronization cycle.
