What's New in HOS

Welcome to the Hours of Service What's New page.

Hours of Service (HOS) is an optional module within WorkPlan. You must have the appropriate option enabled in your account to use HOS. From WorkPlan version 4.33 onward, WorkPlan and HOS releases are dependent on each other. To upgrade HOS, upgrade your version of WorkPlan. For older versions of WorkPlan, you can synchronize under WorkPlan Settings to upgrade to the latest version of HOS.

  • Made some improvements to the co-driver functionality in the app.

New features and enhancements

  • Corrected an issue where on-duty timers in Canada were calculated incorrectly when drivers took breaks that were shorter than 30 minutes.

  • Corrected multiple issues that prevented unidentified driving from being recorded.

  • Fixed an issue where the split daily-reset break was calculated incorrectly and sometimes triggered a violation.

  • Updated the app to be embedded in WorkPlan version 4.38.3 on iOS devices.

New features and enhancements

  • Added a new timer to the HOS Status screen for Canadian users. This timer, called Shift, shows the remaining time that the driver can spend on duty for this shift, including any rest breaks. In Canada, the Day timer has been renamed to On Duty.

  • Added Cloud ELD functionality for International Trucks by Navistar customers. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) or sales representative to determine if your vehicles are eligible for Cloud ELD.

  • Corrected an issue that sometimes prevented carrier-assigned unidentified driving to be displayed in the app.

  • Added support for editing time spent in Personal Conveyance mode.

  • Added support for editing time spent in Yard Move mode.

  • Reverted a change made as part of Canadian ELD support for US users: When drivers in the US stop their vehicles and their status automatically changes to On Duty, the On Duty start time is now backdated to when the vehicle stopped.

New features and enhancements

  • Added support for downloading 6 months of ELD logs in CSV and PDF format.

  • Added the ability for US customers to email their ELD logs in CSV and PDF format.

  • Added Canadian certification IDs into the app, showing 1F32 for Android and 1F35 for iOS.

  • Corrected an issue that sometimes caused unidentified driving periods to be incorrectly generated and then rejected when the driver claimed them.
