Welcome to the Hours of Service What's New page.
Hours of Service is an optional module within WorkPlan. You must have the appropriate option enabled in your account to use Hours of Service. WorkPlan and Hours of Service use separate releases and you can upgrade them independently. Some Hours of Service releases are dependent on a specific WorkPlan version.

New Features and Enhancements
The following new features are due to the FMCSA changes to HOS regulations. To use these new features, log out of WorkPlan and back in again.
- Renamed the 100 air-mile radius exemption to CDL short-haul exemption. The exemption now allows drivers to work a 14-hour work shift when staying within a 150 air-mile radius. For more information see Enabling the CDL short-haul exemption.
- Changed the rules around 30-minute breaks and split breaks when using the sleeper berth. For more information see HOS violations and breaks.
