When the vehicle tracker detects a harsh driving event, a video recording of the incident is made.
The speed graph below the video shows how fast the driver was traveling before, during, and after the harsh driving event. This helps you to understand why the video recording was triggered. You can set up video alerts to notify you when harsh driving events occur.

Speed and time duration
- The axis on the left-hand side of the graph shows the vehicle speed. This is in mph or km/h depending on your regional settings.
- The axis along the bottom of the graph is the time duration of the video recording.
- The dashed line follows the vehicle speed, with key points you can hover over for more details. The red dashed line shows the road’s speed limit.
Videos show the driver’s speed and the road's speed limit in the bottom left-hand corner. These change to red when the driver is traveling faster than the speed limit. Speeding does not impact how videos are classified.
The road speed limit is not available for videos that were requested from an SD card.
Analysis and classification
Recorded videos are analyzed and classified by our tracker software. Green, yellow, orange, and red represent the harsh driving event that led to the classification. You can use this to review the video footage more closely during the colored time duration.
